What should I do if I cannot make the review sessions?
- See me and pick up review material, especially practice multiple choice questions and free response questions.
- See me or email me with questions that you have – I am available most afternoons or mornings beginning at 7:25am.
How should I prepare for the AP Chemistry exam?
· (1) – Get an AP Chemistry Review book. It will:
o provide the most succinct review of the chemistry
o only cover material that is relevant to the AP Chemistry Exam
o provide practice multiple choice and free response questions
(although actual AP Chemistry questions are more comprehensive and a better
preparation)
o provide tips for how to take the exam
· (2) – Practice old AP Chemistry Exams, both the free response and the multiple choice.
I have old exams available and I have keys for you to check your work. Don’t
hesitate to ask for them.
· (3) – Don’t procrastinate!!! If you are serious about getting college credit for Chemistry
you will need to start reviewing now! If you wait until the week before the Exam
you will be overwhelmed.
Reminder: Multiple-Choice Section Scoring Change.
Beginning with the May 2011 AP Exam administration, there will be a change to the
way AP Exams are scored. Total scores on the multiple-choice section will be based on
the number of questions answered correctly. Points will no longer be deducted for
incorrect answers and, as always, no points will be awarded for unanswered questions.
