RATING: *** (Good)
The Man who Was Thursday, by G.K. Chesterton, begins as a spy novel but soon becomes an action thriller, and the novel ends up where all of Chesteron's works end up-right in the middle of Good and Evil and the struggle in between. It's a tough read here and there, but it's worth the struggle for Chesterton's wry sense of humor. The novel's best strength, without a doubt, is an ending that you will not see coming.
